1906

22 March, born in Terézföld, then a Hungarian village at the river Drava,
now Terezino Polje, Croatia.
   
1920 Apprenticeship with an Italian stone mason in Budapest.
   
1924 Won stipend in a competition for studies of arts in Paris that he pursued first at the École des Beaux Arts, then at the École des Arts et Metiers.
   
1927 Diploma from the École des Arts et Metiers.
   
1930s Work as caricaturist for ‘MONDE’ and ‘L‘INTRANSINGEANT’
   
1933 One year stay in Mallorca, Spain, Exhibition Gallery Bonaparte, Paris.
   
1940 Flight from the Nazis to Southern France, where he remained in
Cagnes-sur-Mer, Cote d'Azur for 20 years.
   
1955 ‘Hommages’, collaboration with Jean Cocteau.
   
1961 Third marriage with Leonore (born Bässler), three children.
Move to Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, Germany.
   
1989 20 October, Feri Varga died in Neustadt.
